Layering necklaces is one of our favourite ways to style up our outfit and if you are anything like us, you love a good necklace stack. The beauty of necklace layering is that there are no strict rules. We love playing around and experimenting with chokers, chains, and pendants. Murkani’s signature necklaces are designed to layer effortlessly with one another. Made by our artisan team from high quality materials, our necklace collection has so many options.

Length Variation

Having different necklace lengths is a must when creating the perfect necklace stack. You can mix and match chain lengths to create different looks you can wear from day to night.

What makes Murkani necklaces so great to layer is the extensive choice of lengths provided with the launch of our new necklace extension chain. We have 4 standard necklace chains that measure 44cm, 50cm and 60cm and our chokers measure 40cm. But if want them slightly longer, you can use our attachable necklace extender to add extra length for a longer layering. You can find them here.

Our best tip to start your layering is selecting one choker plus one necklace worn at medium length and then one worn at a longer length.

The Main Attraction

Do you have a pendant that you adore? Make it the centerpiece and work the layering around it. Your most loved necklace will become even more beautiful when surrounded by pieces that compliment its beauty.

Or do you have two pendants that you absolutely love and can’t decide which for the centerpiece? Add them both! Wearing two pendants is a classic look and can be interchanged with other pieces. Just remember to choose different lengths so they don’t get lost in each other.

A delicate way to elevate the look is to add a choker to the top like our Moonscape, Grace, or Dagger Chokers.

Want to add a bit of colour into the mix? Stones are the perfect way to achieve this look. We absolutely love Pearls and Mother of Pearl to add some colour and differentiation.

Be Mindful of your Outfit

We love layering necklaces when wearing scoop necks or V necks. You can wear around 2 - 4 necklaces without any of them getting lost. When wearing a crew neck top, remember to have a short necklace selection to show above the top, or longer so the necklaces drape below the neckline of your top. We wouldn’t want your gorgeous necklaces to get lost.
