Behind the Scenes - Vintage Abstract
With our new collection, Vintage Abstract launching very soon, we wanted to share with you some of the behind the scenes of the day and a little sneak peek for what is coming on the 1st of September (set your alarms!)
Vintage Abstract is a love letter to the past, paying homage to the glamour of the 1980s where I have delved back into history for some inspiration. The collection is my artistic interpretation of an iconic wave like golden brooch. The new Vintage Abstract collection has taken the 1980’s abstract design and made it more textural and contemporary.
Our shoot took place on a cold winter’s day, but we were lucky Melbourne was kind to us and shone a little sunshine on us to create some gorgeous photos. We arrived at Rippon Lea Mansion in Melbourne where we welcomed our gorgeous model Isabelle McPherson, Carmen Rose (Photographer), Daniel Congerton (Photographer’s assistant), Ellena Louise (Videographer), Phoebe Kelly (Stylist) and Kate Radford (Make-up Artist).
For this campaign shoot, we were creating a mood that reflects the collection’s romantic side of the 80s. It was all about the whimsical feel, frolicking in the gorgeous buildings and gardens of Rippon Lea, to create a dreamy campaign.
So much preparation went into the day and I could not be prouder. Was definitely getting a bit emotional on the day on how well the shoot was going (happy tears!). The collection means so much to me and I cannot wait to share it with you.
Hope you love it as much as we do!
