Born from a shared journey, a creative bond and a love of ancient architecture, Loved Always is one of the most personal collections MURKANI has created. An intimate collaboration between our founder, Kiralee and her eldest daughter, Holly, two creatives sharing a love of design, travel and the stories these beautiful places tell. 

In early 2024, Kiralee and Holly travelled to Jaipur, India together, a city of breathtaking beauty, rich history and ancient artistry. Within the walls of the 16th century Amer Fort nestled just beyond the city, the inspiration for Loved Always struck. It was within the Fort’s Mirror Palace where intricate lotus flowers delicately grace the carved marble walls. For Kiralee and Holly, this was a moment that spoke to something deeper, a symbol that carried centuries of meaning, devotion and love.

Flowers have long been one of nature's most powerful symbols, speaking to a connection and unconditional love across cultures and centuries. To motherhood, floral symbolism represents the bond between mother and daughter, a nurturing, protective and unwavering devotion that exists between the pair. 

Back in Melbourne, Kiralee and Holly came together to bring the collection to life. Working side by side, they explored concepts and shared ideas, shaping each piece with intention. The result is a collection that works beautifully for all women. Pieces that can be layered between each other, shared across generations and worn as a reminder of the bond they share.
