Behind the Scenes - Halcyon Collection

Just a few days before Christmas with samples for our new Halcyon collection in my hands, I flew up to Sydney to shoot our new HALCYON collection with one of my favourite photographers, Yelena Fairfax. We chose the gorgeous Tamarama Beach on the Sydney coastline as our backdrop as we loved the orange and ecru-coloured rocks that were textured and craggy.
The new collection HALCYON is all about women having confidence, calm and inner peace as they face the new world post covid and we thought the rocky walls would create a great backdrop for this. After meeting our gorgeous model Skye Ladell, we were busy getting make-up and hair done for the shoot. We chose Skye because she is primarily a dancer and we thought she’d move well in the videos we wanted to create.
And the last team member for the day was the fabulous Samantha Lee, Makeup Artist extraordinaire, or Sammy as we know her. I haven’t seen these girls for a while due to covid, so it was so special to be able to work with them again.
The whole day went beautifully. I absolutely loved the shoot and had so much fun creating these gorgeous images. The clothes and jewellery worked really well together. Skye was a dream to work with and nothing was too much effort for her.
After a little moment of rain, some windy weather, and numerous costume changes, we got some fab shots for our new campaign images.
We had a moment when I stood in dog poo.. but you get that on outdoor shoots!! Ha ha…
So excited about the new collections and can’t wait to show you all the new pieces! Stay tuned...
